Get Involved: Consultations on Union Court future start this week

Tuesday, March 24, 2021 - 11:00am to Friday, March 27, 2021 - 6:00pm

It’s been site for concerts, festivals, rallies, eating and socialising for staff and students, and now the University is after the community’s views on what a future Union Court might look like.

University-wide consultations on the future of Union Court begin this week, with lots of activities scheduled for staff and students in the centre quad area near the Refectory.

The activities will be aimed at getting students, staff and the local community to think about what Union Court currently lacks and what new services would improve its appeal and use for the benefit of the community.

As part of the activities, a reimagine caravan information booth and pop-up activity stations will be on site at Union Court.

Activities will take place daily from Tuesday 24 March until Friday 27 March.

If staff and students can’t make the consultations, they’ll also be able to have their say by getting involved at www.reimagineunioncourt.com until 1 April.

Preliminary consultations over the past 18 months have come up with early ideas for the area, including an updated library, new shops and services including a childcare centre and more accommodation for students including apartments for postgraduate scholars and staff.
